Dates: Aug 2007 to Feb 2008
How did the project start?
Interlinked Media provide mobile marketing solutions and services to companies to increase their brand awareness and marketing effectiveness.
With the continuing increase in client numbers and the requirement for easy online user friendly interfaces, it was decided to revamp and improve the present Interlinked Media platform.
Interlinked Media have been providing mobile marketing solutions for companies since 2002.
What options did you consider?
We wanted to make the software accessible for all levels of IT users. As many venues which used our software did not have dedicated marketing managers, we needed to make the platform user friendly and not complicated.
With easy to use menus, pop up prompts and in-built 'safety checks' which helped avoid costly mistakes, managers of nightclubs, bars and other similar venues are able to upload data records, construct text marketing messages (see these appear on a "virtual phone") and schedule the sending of these messages to their customer databases on the day and time of their wishing.
What help and expertise did you receive?
Our software platform is built in house by the technical development team and using the lessons learnt from the old platform, we hope to have met all the requirements of our clients - however we can amend and improve all the functions as the working model progresses.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
A lot of time was taken up with continual testing to ensure that the system met all the requirements of such a system. We were able to continue and provide a full service to all our clients during this development using the old platform.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
The new SMS platform now provides the ability for clients to view in real time the progress of any SMS promotions they have running, upload databases with mobile numbers, use data analysis to choose targeted groups of customers to send marketing messages to, send and schedule text messages and view delivery reports. Our client database is continually expanding and we are in the process of discussing 100+ venue operations to use our mobile marketing platform
What are your plans for the future?
We are looking to push the platform out to potential enterprise clients who are looking for a more cost effective and simple method of direct marketing to their customers.
