How did the project start?
S Jennings contracted Pearsons to create a suite of sites for each of their car franchises, including Ford, SEAT, Mazda, Ford Direct, 4x4 and Transit Vans.
What options did you consider?
The main focus of the site was to provide an easy to manage used car database, to promote their new car offering and to provide a structure feedback mechanism for enquiries across all service areas. We considered and developed a CMS, along with enquiry functionality. Pearsons also worked alongside Jennings to produce an extensive Search Engine Optimisation Campaign (SEO) which also resulted in Jennings appearing in the top 3 for Google for the majority of Ford related keywords.
What help and expertise did you receive?
In-house expertise on SEO, project management, programming, web design.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
The main challenge was how to showcase each suite of offering. Pearsons worked closely with Jennings to create a standardised brand across all the sites which were all interlinked to best promote each of the car models.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
Since the new sites were launched, Jennings website traffic has now quadrupled and they receive over 400 enquiries per week.
What are your plans for the future?
Future developments have not yet been discussed with Jennings.
