How did the project start?

The web project for Devoted Business coincided with the move to our newly refurbished offices in June 2007.

We decided that this was too good of an opportunity to miss and instructed our project manager to put an internal team together and identify the message we wanted to give to our customers – as they are the most important people to us!

What options did you consider?

We have a dedicated creative design team at Devoted Business, who specialise in websites, e-commerce solutions and internet marketing.

With their help and expertise we decided to put together a website with high quality design, layout and content, which allowed clients to navigate the site effectively and retrieve the information they were looking for.

We wanted the website to give users an understanding of our company’s key values; innovative ideas alongside a friendly and reliable service. As with all website projects carried out by Devoted Business, the site was built to be accessible and comply with W3C industry standards.

What help and expertise did you receive?

We are extremely lucky to have a creative design and web development team within Devoted Business. Under the guidance of the Managing Director, Project Manager and Marketing Manager the web design team worked together to develop ideas and create the ideal solution.

Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?

One challenge in particular was how to best portray our company via the medium of the web, at Devoted Business we have many specialist teams under one roof, the challenge was to bring these teams into one visual brand, whilst also maintaining their own individual identities.

By using strong imagery and colour within a unified template we have achieved a strong cohesive look across the site, but also giving our specialist teams their own individuality.

What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?

The new website represents the company in an online environment, allowing potential clients to see for themselves the quality services we offer and get a feel for our key values.

We have received some great feedback regarding the design of the website and consistency of our brand, which even extends to the colour of the wall paper in our new offices!

What are your plans for the future?

We are looking into the way in which our clients prefer to interact and communicate with us. Client meetings can, at times, be unnecessarily time consuming and difficult to arrange. Though instant messaging and email is often a preferred option, we feel it can be impersonal so we’re looking to add a dedicated client section to our website to include private message boards, feedback forms, video conferencing, document download and upload features along with up to date project timelines. By including these features in our website, we feel we will greatly improve client rapport.
