How did the project start?
Lynne asked us to create a website for her that really got across the sophistication of her creations, and give her a strong online presence to increase the number of orders she received.
What options did you consider?
We developed a website using custom photography as a background to each page. Each shot sets a scene and creates a human feel to the website.
What help and expertise did you receive?
We had advice from Fiona from Purple Pomegranate, who photographed each scene for us, on how to frame each shot so that the cake or chocolate took centre stage.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
Having such a small area for content meant devising a method of navigating the information. Lynne requested that we didn't use scrolling, so a set of custom page numbers was devised.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
Cake Perfect now receives almost 2000 visitors a week. This results in around 50 enquiries every week!
What are your plans for the future?
To help Lynne as her business develops and grows. Expanding her marketing, both online and offline, to support her company as it goes from strength to strength.
