How did the project start?

Each year we endeavor to create a game for our clients, friends and colleagues at Christmas. It helps pass the time and shows off our skills at the same time!

What options did you consider?

Drop'n'Dash changed a lot through testing - it was a racing game, platform game and puzzle before we decided on the final concept.

What help and expertise did you receive?

We created everything in-house at Presence, though we did have invaluable help from our beta-testing friends and family!

Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?

The main technical challenge was in mastering the complex math describing the trajectory of objects dropped from Santa's sleigh. Once this was cracked - it was downhill all the way!

What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?

The game was played by approx. 2000 people over the Christmas period and was linked in many gaming forums and viral sites.

What are your plans for the future?

We'll be creating more games for clients in 2008, culminating in another Presence game at Christmas time!
