How did the project start?
I started writing in 1960 and earlier this year decided to tell the public how they could access my writing. I decided that the internet was the best option.
What options did you consider?
Advertising in newspapers, leaflet drop, posters and the internet.
What help and expertise did you receive?
The company who designed my website advised on content. The newspapers offered advice. I sought help from Hartlepool Enterprise Centre and Barclays Bank business adviser.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
Many lessons learned including check all information before posting it on website.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
Since January my profile has been raised I have been invited to speak in Canada, Scotland and England. I have a book launch in Tenerife and really everything has taken off. I now have 24 other authors who have asked me to help with their writing. I also have at least FIVE books being published this year.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to publish at least 12 books a year. I will continue to submit articles to newspapers and periodicals for publication. My blog on the site will be updated weekly. I hope to move to premises of my own.
