How did the project start?

Fat Frog needed a new site to represent the new ways the business had grown. The previous two sites for New Media and Design ran side by side, we wanted to combine these and add in other business strands that were currently underplayed.

What options did you consider?

When planning, designing the site we wanted to create something that looked great whilst still being really easy to navigate by accessing our portfolio of work via a variety of routes.

What help and expertise did you receive?

As we have a wealth of experience in planning, designing and building websites for clients each department worked together to help create the finished website.

Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?

At Fat Frog we try to see Accessibility as being hand in hand with the Disability Discrimination Act. We wanted to create a website that was not just easy to navigate for those with standard browsers but also those with specialised needs. By developing the code in the right way we struck a balance between graphical menus, photography and other visual elements whilst keeping text alternatives and other DDA compliant features.

What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?

We now have a website that encapsulates the many different facets of the business. By cross referencing projects you can navigate the site with greater ease as well as being able to see the variety of projects we have undertaken for our many clients.

What are your plans for the future?

We are currently looking at several different improvements to the site and will continue to add and improve appropriate features.
