How did the project start?
We pitched for the job and were selected for our ability to integrate the design and technical requirements of the website along with our branding and marketing backgrounds.
What options did you consider?
The website had to be very tightly structured as there is a great deal of content of differing types that need to be easy to find. We also had to ensure complete consistency of brand throughout the site.
What help and expertise did you receive?
We worked extremely closely with NanoCentral to ensure the intricacies of nanomaterials were being presented in a way that would not be alienating to experts in the field and the general public.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
The scale of the project was a challenge encompassing as it did everything from external RSS feeds to fully tracked HTML newsletters to login facilities and beyond. These sections were developed piece by piece as NanoCentral's new business grew.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
NanoCentral find the website easy to update through our content management system, interest has been considerable and they will be running their second conference on nanomaterials later this year bolstered by the success of the site and the prominence in search engines.
What are your plans for the future?
We continue to work with NanoCentral improving and adding new areas to the site. As the NanoCentral network increases so the website will need to reflect this complex service offering.
