How did the project start?
Having designed CK21's new identity, they asked us to design a complementary web site. The main criteria were that they wanted to be able to update sections of the site themselves and add news stories on a frequent basis.
What options did you consider?
Using the bright colours from CK21's logo, we prepared a number of designs and layouts for them to choose from.
It was agreed that a clean, fresh and modern approach was best, utilising lots of white space.
We also commissioned 'impromptu' black and white photography to convey the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that sits at the heart of the company.
Testimonials from happy clients on each page help to build a sense of confidence in the new company's abilities.
What help and expertise did you receive?
Designers and programmers worked closely together to achieve an easy to use CMS that also produced a well proportioned, aesthetically pleasing finished page.
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
Creating a news module that could be updated frequently and easily was paramount. The top three news stories are always carried through onto the home page for immediate impact.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
After a few hours of training, CK21 are now able to keep their clients up to date with latest news, inform potential clients about their range of work and services and indicate the arrival of new staff with ease.
What are your plans for the future?
To continue working with CK21 and offer technical support whenever necessary. Evolve all elements of their identity, including the web site, as they grow and develop.
