How did the project start?

I have been selling my photography online for a few years, but until this project it was not possible to buy framed artwork, just prints for customers to frame themselves. I wanted to offer more 'complete' products.

What options did you consider?

A totally new site or the development of my existing online shop to be able to offer a range of framing options. I took the second option.

What help and expertise did you receive?

Input from the designers of the original shop site, Symtex.

Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?

A major challenge was creating a system that would calculate postage costs based on the estimated weight of the order - obviously framed artwork is much heavier and therefore more costly to deliver than prints on their own.

What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?

It has doubled sales through my online shop, by allowing me to provide additional higher value options.

What are your plans for the future?

To continue adding images and purchasing options to my shop.
