How did the project start?
The boutique needed to increase its revenue streams as well as it national profile and a multi channel move into e-tailing seemed like the perfect option.
What options did you consider?
None other than the web. I was acutely aware of the high cost of print media and the high cost of customer acquisition. The web enabled me to create a little piece of my vision available to the world. I am a democrat at heart!
What help and expertise did you receive?
Visual Soft were a fabulous facilitator. By a strange twist of faith, my best friend with years of experience in lifestyle brands moved to Yarm and helped me with the positioning and copy. Business Link made it all happen...
Did you face any challenges or learn any lessons?
A size matrix is worth its weight in gold! And, you never realise how many big brands are not equipped to deal with websites whose demands fall on deaf ears.
What are the outcomes and how has it improved your business?
National press, international orders, increased revenue to name but a few.
What are your plans for the future?
Keep enjoying what I am doing and by tweaking the mix with in the parameters of the brand, creating a household name.
